Movie Night Party: Walsh Theater presents Madelyn’s Baby Shower

Movie Night Party: Walsh Theater presents Madelyn’s Baby Shower.  Today I’m sharing my favorite baby shower EVER.  It’s MOVIE NIGHT!!!  Be sure to check out all of our Movie Night ideas and inspiration.Movie Night PicI’m super excited to share this party. I recently hosted/styled a co-ed baby shower for my sweet friends Koby and Carly and their soon-to-be-joining-the-world baby girl Madelyn.  This party was wicked fun to plan and one of the most un-baby shower baby showers I have ever seen.  Check it out…

IMG_7654The theme for the shower was Movie Night.  I planned the evening to be fun and un-girly for the dad to be and all the menfolk to feel at ease and also be a unique way of celebrating sweet little Madelyn.  Koby and Carly met in high school when they were both working at a movie theater too, so it was the perfect theme for their shower.

IMG_7638 IMG_7598My wonderful husband created this custom marque sign (stay tuned for a tutorial) for the backdrop and it was hands down my favorite element of the party.  We also had a backyard movie screen (that he built as well…tutorial to come) on which we watched Back to the Future.  It was awesome!

IMG_7584We served popcorn and candy, cake pops, mini cookies, cupcakes, and traditional movie theater food: nachos, hot dogs, and soda pop.

IMG_7585 IMG_7597 IMG_7552I set up a concession stand, a popcorn car, a dessert table, and the photo booth was paparazzi themed!

IMG_7616 IMG_7637 IMG_7564 IMG_7527Here are the fun candy wraps too.  Don’t they make the candy boxes look awesome sauce??
