What is Mimi’s Dollhouse?

Mimi’s Dollhouse is your source for fun and unique printable party decorations, party ideas and inspiration.  We strive to make throwing beautiful and creative parties fun and easy.  We want your guests to leave your party saying “Wow!”

Who is Mimi and why did you pink the name Mimi’s Dollhouse?

To make a long story short, my daughter’s are 18 months apart.  When my little Emma was born, her big sister had a really hard time saying “Emma”.  It came out Mimi and the name stuck.  Mimi is a shout out to both my little girls and how much they inspire me.  Why Mimi’s Dollhouse?  Basically with myself , two little girls and a female poodle…my poor husband lives in just that…a DOLLHOUSE!!  Thus Mimi’s Dollhouse is our kind of crazy.

Can I submit photos of my party or tutorials/ideas to be featured on your website?

Yes, absolutely!!  Please do!!  Preference will be given to parties that use Mimi’s Dollhouse printables, but that is not required.  High quality and/or professional photos are appreciated.  When submitting a party or a tutorial, please include at least 6 photos and a list of all vendors used in the party (I want them to get credit too) along with a brief description of your event or instructions for your tutorial.  Submissions can be emailed to holly@mimisdollhouse.com .

What are printables and how do I use them?

Printables are party decorations digitally designed and received via email.  They can be printed from home or a local print shop and used in a variety of ways to customize and decorate your party or event.  All files are formatted to print on 8.5”x11” cardstock, photo paper, or sticker paper.  All files come with assembly instructions and are easy to use for a custom, fun and festive party.

What do I need to use printables?

Mimi’s Dollhouse printables are designed to be used with only a printer, paper and scissors being necessary.  Other tools can make the process easier and save time.   Explanation of those tools can be found here: www.mimisdollhouse.com/series/party-supplies/

I have received my files, but they are not opening on my computer, I cannot see the files, or they will not print.

All party files are sent via yousendit.com and are contained in a zip folder.  To access and print the files inside the zip folder, follow these easy steps: Save the file to your computer.  Right click on the folder icon with the zipper and select “Extract all” from the drop down menu.  Click “extract” on the pop up window. You can now access and print the files from the unzipped folder. More detailed instructions.

How do I print the files?

All files are formatted to print on 8.5”x11” inch paper.  You will need a PDF reader to access the files.  If you do not currently have one, you can download a free copy from Adobe.   It is not necessary to use a professional printer. Desktop printer can be used for quality printing.  Print items always at 100% quality with print scaling setting to “NONE” to avoid your printout being automatically reduced.

The colors look different on paper than they do on the computer screen. Can you adjust the colors?

Because the colors on our files do not change from order to order, this is likely a printer issue.Printed colors may vary from one computer screen to another, one printer to another and even with different types or brands of paper and ink and also with the choice of printer settings. Mimi’s Dollhouse is not responsible for the resulting color variations. We recommend that you check the ink cartridges to see if they need replacement or adjust the intensity settings on your printer. Generally, this always solves the p! ions. Because there are a vast number of variables involved in printing, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS and no design revisions of colors if you do not like the colors when printed. Are you taking custom orders?

Custom order availability is done on a discretionary basis and depend upon availability, type/theme requested, number of open custom designs and several other factors.  As a general guideline, custom designs can take 2-6 weeks to complete, so please inquire as early as possible.  *Note: Mimi’s Dollhouse is no longer accepting any custom designs for characters, shows, teams or other icons licensed and/or copyrighted to any other company (i.e. Disney, PBS, Hasboro, NFL).  Inspired designs are welcome, but will NOT contain any graphics of the actual character or show.

What is your turn-around time?

Currently, turnaround time is 3 business days.

Do you send proofs prior to purchase?

Due to the volume of orders we receive and to help keep our costs low, Mimi’s Dollhouse does NOT offer personalized proofs prior to purchase on existing designs. Example photos provided in the listings or through email will not be personalized to your party. A preview may be available for custom designs and design changes at the discretion of Mimi’s Dollhouse. Please email holly@mimisdollhouse.com  for specific questions.

Do I get to see a proof before I receive the final file?

Once a file is purchased, it will be sent print ready according to the current turnaround timeframe.  This saves us both time.  If there are no errors, the files may be printed at this time.  Typos and errors on Mimi’s Dollhouse’s end will be corrected as soon as possible.  You may request on change  for reasons other than Mimi’s Dollhouse error.  Please send only ONE email requesting a revision.  Revisions may take 1-2 business days to process.

Can I edit the products once I order them?

No. All of our products are copyrighted and cannot be altered except by Mimi’s Dollhouse. There is a fee for custom text starting at $5.

How do I know what file type to choose for your invitations?

Choose JPG if you plan to print them out individually at a photo processing facility. Choose PDF if you plan to print at home or at a print shop. Our files are formatted for 8.5×11 paper.

Do you ever print/assemble the orders and mail them out?

No:) Everything is emailed out as an digital file.  We do offer printing service for invitations and holiday cards in quantities of 25 only. They will be size 5×7 and include envelopes.  Please email holly@mimisdollhouse.com to place a order for printed invitations or holiday cards.

I need this for a party tomorrow! Can I place a rush order?

We do offer rush 24 hour processing. There is a $10 fee for all rush orders and are only available on our existing designs, not custom orders.

I didn’t realize that I was purchasing a Digital Pacakge and thought you were going to send me assemble decorations to my house.  Can I get a refund?

Reasonable attempts will be made to provide the customer with the product as listed and to their satisfaction, however due to the nature of the product, no refunds will be issued once payment has been received. It is the buyer’s responsibility to read the item description. ALL listings are for PDF or JPEG files. *** PRINTING IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR INVITATIONS AND HOLIDAY CARDS.*** It is the buyer’s responsibility to note that ALL items are printable PDFs and NO PHYSICAL ITEMS WILL BE MAILED. Mimi’s Dollhouse is not responsible if a buyer does not read the item description fully.

I am throwing a joint party for my two children together.  Can you personalize the package with two names and ages?

Yes, for an additional fee.  If you are throwing a party for more than one child (with the exception of the Mickey and Minnie, Pebbles and Bamm Bamm, and Thing 1 & Thing 2 Packages), you must purchase this listing for EACH ADDITIONAL NAME you are wishing to add:

I would like to change the colors, fonts, picture, etc. on the invitation or package I am ordering.  Will it cost extra?

Prices listed are for the items as listed. Alterations not listed are available AT EXTRA COST. Please email holly@mimisdollhouse.com  PRIOR to purchase if you are needing alterations. If you do not contact me PRIOR to purchase, there is no guarantee that your alterations can be made for the listed price.   All party files/packages will be sent EXACTLY as described and shown under each party package listing with only a name and age personalization. ANY other changes or customizations will require approval and a fee of $5.00/file within the party package.

Can you translate my party into another language?

No.  All party files are in English and cannot be translated into another language.

What are your business days and hours?

Business Days are Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays). Mimi’s Dollhouse may respond to inquiries and process orders on weekends, but this is not guaranteed. Normal hours are 10am PST to 10pm PST  *Please note that Mimi’s Dollhouse is located in the Pacific Standard time zone (PST) and most order processing takes place in the evenings*

I want to print my invitation as a 4×6 photo or at Costco as a 6×7.5 photo,can you send my invitation in another size?

Invitations come standard as either a 5×7 JPEG file or an 8.5×11 PDF (2 per page).  The JPEG file will be sent unless the PDF file is requested.  To have the invitation file changed to either a 4×6 JPEG or 6×7.5 JPEG there is a $5 fee.  Please email holly@mimisdollhouse.com PRIOR to purchase to have the fee added to your order.
