When it comes to setting up a party, it’s the little details that I always find the most exciting.  Small items like creative favors or creative ways to name the food to fit your the theme.  It’s those cool little extras that really make a complete party.  I mean don’t get me wrong…a kick butt dessert table is always the highlight of a party!  But a dessert table alone does not decorate your whole house, yard, or venue…this is where the cute centerpieces, signs, favors, and of course welcome signs are oh so valuable.

Today I’m sharing some easy and fun ways to dress up your welcome sign. DIY welcome sign wreaths are a great way to say, come in here and let’s party!!

Firstly, let’s get to the how to aspect..

Materials:

  1. Styrofoam wreath 10″ to 12″
  2. Ribbon, fabric or yarn to match your party
  3. Printable Welcome sign
  4. Embellishments
  5. Hot glue
  6. Scotch Tape

Start by taping the yarn, ribbon or fabric you want to wrap the wreath in to the back side of the styrofoam wreath and begin tightly wrapping the wreath.  For this first example, I used four colors of yarn and wrapped them in alternating patterns over the other three colors to make stripes.

To complete the wreath, tape or hot glue the last section to the backside of the wreath and secure.

Once the wreath is wrapped, use  the hot glue to glue the corners of your welcome sign to the middle. and embellish the wreath as desired.   Because this wreath was for a Kitchen Themed Bridal Shower, I used some small kitchen items to embellish the wreath.  Very easy and fun!!

For  this next wreath, since it was for a girly monkey party, I used some fun pastel felt and made felt flowers (cut the felt into a circle, spiral cut the circle then wrapped it tightly into a rose shape and secured with hot glue.  I also placed one of my daughter’s stuffed monkeys on the wreath as well.  It was one of my favorites, even though Emma kept insisting he was scared and wanted to come down!Welcome

For this Balloon Themed Baby Shower, I used blue and white polka dot ribbon to match the sky in the printables and added some fun bright flowers to give it a little spunk.IMG_2894 For my Storybook Princess Party, I used ribbon to match some of the princesses dresses and mixed and matched to created a fabulous wreath. The possibilities are truly endless.
